The Jivdani Mata temple is located on a hill to the east of Virar railway station in Palghar taluka. This ancient temple holds deep historical significance, with a legend that traces its origins to the Pandavas, who are said to have built it during their exile. The five Pandavas established the goddess in a cave here, shaping the place to resemble Pandava Hill. Over the centuries, it became a sanctuary for yogis, saints, and sages. To this day, many yogis and sages remain on the temple grounds during Devdarshan, continuing its tradition of spiritual devotion.
